RE plays a vital part in delivering the spiritual, moral and cultural aspects of the school curriculum.
RE is concerned with enabling students to learn about what people believe, and how it effects their lives. We respect all belief systems and encourage students to do the same; reflecting on and making comparisons with their own.
We live in a multi-cultural and multi-faith society, in some ways Religious Education has never been so important. RE can provide students with a grounding in understanding the world around them, creating an ethos of enquiry and instilling an attitude of tolerence.
Students learn about the key beliefs and practices of each of the main world religions. They also consider the religious response to ultimate and ethical questions.
We hope that RE answers many questions, but we hope that it creates a few too!
