Heckmondwike Grammar School Swimming Teams

Although swimming does not form part of our curriculum, the school has a very active and successful swimming team.

Many of our students are keen and talented swimmers who belong to local authority sponsored training schemes or to clubs in the area. It is very much thanks to the work done by those organisations with the swimmers that we are able to offer an outlet for their interests and talents here in school.

The team is managed by Mr. Allen, an ASA qualified swimming teacher/coach, a Fellow of the Institute of Swimming Teachers and Coaches, and formerly Club Coach at a local swimming club. Any enquiries about school swimming may be addressed to him at school or by e-mail to wallen@heckgrammar.co.uk.
