Friends of HGS

Friends of Heckmondwike Grammar School

We have one aim - to enhance the education of the students.  We do this by:

 

• Raising funds for school projects and resources outside the normal school budget
• Organising social functions and supporting school activities developing the relationship between parents and school
• Providing a forum for consultation between the Head Teacher and parents
• Engaging in activities which support the school

 

All current parents / guardians and staff are automatically enrolled as a Friend and in addition we welcome former members of staff, former students, present and former governors and members of the local community.

 

Meetings are held once each half term and all Friends are invited to attend and have their say.

 

Starting this term we are introducing a 49 CLUB.

The 49 CLUB is drawn on each Saturday using the National Lottery Bonus ball number as the prize winning number. The 49 CLUB offers participants an opportunity to build up a fund earmarked for school development projects as well as winning a share of the 'pot' each week.
