Visits

The RE Department regards visits to places of worship and places connected to religion to be extremely beneficial. We are lucky in this technological age to be able to access virtual tours of places of worship or Web Cam feedback. However, nothing can take the place of actually visiting the place of worship for yourself, or meeting the followers of that religion in that setting.

The department takes each Year group in KS3 on a visit.

Year 7 visit the Sikh Gurdwara in Huddersfield, along with the Vajapani Buddhist centre

Year 8 visit a Mosque in Batley, along with the Dewsbury Minster

Year 9 visit the Beth Shalom Holocaust centre near Newark.
