The Department

The History Team

There are six members of the History Department:

Mr. C. Jones (Head of Department)
Mrs. E. Currie
Mr. S. Taylor (Also Learning Mentor KS4)
Mr. R. Oxby (Also teacher of Politics)

The Department is based in three rooms, 26, 27, 28,  in a purpose built block, opened in 2002. Some additional teaching occurs in other rooms throughout Heckmondwike Grammar School.

The History rooms have Interactive Whiteboards and the department makes use of an extensive DVD collection, many online resources and extensive collections of up to date books available within the department and the school library.
