 Brain Hemispheres and Learning

The two selves?

There is a lot of interest in the functions of the left-side of the brain compared to the right side of the brain. It has been argued that they work very differently. Some people, use both halves of their brain effectively, others are more orientated to left-side thinking, other to the right-side. Additionally, the two halves communicate. In theory, strong connections between the two halves strengthen the power of your cognition (thinking). However, neurobiologists (biologists who study the brain and the nervous system) do not always agree with this argument. They believe it is too simplistic.
