A World Study before 1900 (Islamic Civilisations)

 This is intended as a contrast to the study of Britain – comparing Britain in the Middle Ages with another state at the same time. The study includes the following:

 

  • An understanding of the Islamic society – geography, language, religion
  • Features of the period – the Crusades – causes, events & consequences

50 Students have the opportunity every year to act as peasants for the day while visiting Danelaw Village in York, under the keen eye of the Lord and Bailiff of Danelaw.
