Year 8 Design Technology

 The aims and objectives of the year 8 Design Technology course are to equip students with the skills and knowledge highlighted below:-

• Develop an understanding of 3D product drawing using isometric and orthographic drawing techniques
• Develop further the use of 3D computer modelling software Prodesktop
• Develop an understanding of electronic theory and components
• To introduce the use of electronic computer software Crocodile Clips and PCB Wizard
• Develop electronic soldering and PCB assembly techniques
• Develop a range of innovative ideas for pre-determined timer
• Further develop safe workshop machine and hand techniques
