In order to achieve The Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award it is possible to complete a Cookery Skills course. Several pupils from year 10 have completed the course this year.

To gain this qualification students need to demonstrate their current knowledge and understanding of food and extend it by carrying out the following tasks:-
  • Planning and costing a balanced menu for a family of four for one day;
  • Research and planning meals for expeditions;
  • Planning and preparing meal which could include :-
