The Covenant scheme
You may remember reading about the Centenary Appeal and the Covenant Scheme when your son or daughter was in Year 7.
A number of parents pay regular contributions by standing order to the School’s Centenary Appeal Fund. This is a registered charity and as such is able to recover tax amounting to approximately 28% of all donations made by UK tax-payers. This does not require the donor to do anything other than fill in a gift aid form to cover the period of the donation.
Examples of regular donations:
£10 per month = £120 + £33 = £153 per year inc reclaimed tax
£15 per month = £180 + £ 50 = £230 per year inc reclaimed tax
Our target is to increase the number of covenants by at least 100 -> this could generate an extra £12 000 -£15 000 per year. All parents who set up new covenants as well as those already donating in this way will be added to the roll of honour.
