The English Department runs an Inter-House Debating competition. Below you can find information on this. The English Department also runs trips to the theatre to help pupils with their understanding and appreciation of drama they are studying.
- The Inter-House Debating Competitions
The Inter-House Debates are organised and run by Miss Furness, and judged by Mr Binns. Each House fields a debating team at junior and senior level, to debate a variety of motions selected by the debaters themselves. Debating offers pupils a forum in which to test and extend their spoken language skills and powers of reason and persuasion. For further information see Miss Furness.
