The Mathematics Department at Heckmondwike Grammar School organise
Primary Mathematics Team Challenge competitions
each year for local primary schools.
Each primary school selects two year 6 pupils and two year 5 pupils to enter.
There are several rounds of competition all geared around solving mathematical problems.
Pupils claim “it is challenging, but fun!”
