Congratulations to year 6 pupils at Norristhorpe on their success in the Jaguar Cars Maths in Motion Challenge. Nearly 400 schools entered a car to race 58 laps around the Monte Carlo track (not literally of course, pupils use the simulation software provided!). Their car finished as the 7th best primary school.

A primary support group meeting for our feeder primary schools is being held on Thursday 22nd January from 3.45 p.m. – 5.15 p.m. at the Heckmondwike School Church Annexe on Church Street.
The theme of the first meeting is “Teaching Gifted and Talented Mathematicians.” You need to book your place with us at the maths department and bring along any good ideas. Lots of excellent free resources will be given out.
