From a series of qualifying galas held earlier in the year, HGS qualified for these finals, to which the top six schools were invited.

Congratulations to all. From an initial entry of around 20 schools, in an increasingly competitive event, the team did exceptionally well to finish 3rd.
All 25 members of the team made a significant contribution; with few wins in the 24 relay races it was the strength in depth through the whole squad which allowed us to maintain our place in the top 3 schools.
Many thanks also to the parents - their cooperation and very vociferous support have been much appreciated.
As this is the last event of the year, could I ask all swimmers to return team kit to me as soon as possible?
