- Managing lifestyle,gambling and spending. Managing finances
- Care of the environment
- Gender issues, racism and ageism
- Introduction to the world of work
- Food, GM food and eating disorders.
- Self assessment, evaluation and target setting.
Year 9
Image and self esteem
- Drugs and self abuse
- Crime and punishment
- Sex Education and contraception
- Decision making and option choices
- Assertive/ aggressive behaviour
- Media in society
- Stress, how to cope. Mental illness.
- Self assessment, evaluation and target setting.
Careers lesson and guidance is given to all pupils within this programme.
A variety of experienced speakers and health professionals visit the school to talk to the students and to support and supplement their learning.
