National Careers Service - Young People's Career Helpline
Careers information, advice and guidance is available in school. The school's Head of Careers is Mrs Scanlon who is based in the Careers Department opposite the sixth form common room along with two colleagues Ms Garforth, Careers Adviser and Mrs Henderson, Careers Assistant.
As well as help from the school's careers department, All young people are entitled to impartial advice and guidance by persons not employed by the school. To facilitate this, the government has set up the National Careers Service.
This helpline offers information, advice and a support on a range of issues affecting young people.
Support is available from trained advisers who will talk through issues, offering confidential advice and practical help. So that young people can talk to an adviser at a time to suit them, advisers are available from 8.00am to 10.00pm, seven days a week.
The Helpline telephone number is 0800 100 900 or for text messages on 07766 413 219.
