Enrichment Activities

In an increasingly competitive employment market, employers are seeking skills that reach beyond the academic curriculum. Our enrichment programme gives student access to a range of activities, which will allow them to develop these skills. The full programme for this year is in the process of being finalised, but the activities that have run in the past include

• Sports (Recreational and Competitive)
• Student-led societies e.g. Medical Society & Law Society
• Duke of Edinburgh
• Peer mentoring
• Community Volunteering
• Young Enterprise
• Share trading
• First Aid
• Cooking
• Financial management

In addition to these activities, students will also be able to sign up for a careers enrichment package. These packages will be tailored to career pathways such as healthcare and finance. Each package will include guest speakers and presenters who will give an insight into working in their particular field, giving students a clear idea of what to expect. There will also be the opportunity to develop skills required to be successful in applying to, and working in, their chosen field.
