Occupational Areas

We have organised this section into Occupational Categories. Choose the Career that interests you and follow the links to find out more. Remember that the Prospects and Jobs4U websites also provide lots of information and links for many Career choices.

If you are in Years 11 to 13 then go to http://www.prospects.ac.uk and ‘Explore types of jobs’ for detailed information and links to professional associations.

If you are in Years 7 to 13 then go to www.connexions.gov.uk/jobs4u/home.cfm and search the careers database. This site is useful for all students.

If you need some career ideas try the following questionnaires to match your interests, skills and abilities to career suggestions:

Years 7 - 10 Kudos Online

Years 10 - 13 Pathfinder Live

(The login details for both sites are available from the Careers Office)

Once you have completed the questionnaire if you wish you can save it and make an appointment with the careers adviser to discuss the results.
