Making an effective transition to the Sixth Form
These pages will provide you with essential information about the support we provide to our students to help you settle in and make the best start possible to your time with us. Whether you are joining the Sixth Form directly from the main school or you are coming to us from somewhere else, the step up to studying A levels is a daunting one, and being well-prepared to make a strong start is the first step to success.
Mr Ellis – Deputy Director of Sixth Form (Transition)/Teacher of Biology
“My main role is to help students make a successful transition into the 6th form. I am here to help students prepare before they commence their studies and I help organise and provide academic support once they are here. I want students to feel a part of the school as soon as they arrive so they are happy and can focus on making the most of their time here. We have students who come from a diverse range of backgrounds and feeder schools and I am proud of how well they integrate as a community.”
