Sports Fixtures

The Physical Education Department organises various opportunity for students to compete in competitive sports fixtures as part of the House system and against other schools.

Information for Sports Fixtures and Events

The school enters teams into a range of District, County and National competitions in all major sporting activities.

When fixtures are planned, details will be published on the Year notice boards in the PE corridor and in registers. A copy of the team sheet will also be available in the school reception. As much notice as possible will be provided but often in cup competitions, this is not always possible and we are working to tight deadlines to get fixtures played.

Students should ensure that they inform their Parents /Carers and confirm their availability with the member of staff running the team. Exact return times to school will be dependent on the duration of the fixture and traffic delays. Students will be asked to contact a Parent or Carer regarding any delays.

Internal competitions, House events, training sessions and clubs.

Details will be published on the PE noticeboards. Events take place at lunchtimes and after school. Pupils should make arrangements to get their lunch at break or bring a packed lunch. It is essential that pupils inform Parents / Carers if they are attending an after school session.

House competitions are planned during the school year, these include an annual swimming gala and whole school sports day. House staff will select the teams for each event.
