Student Councils
As a school, we believe the views of our students are important.
To allow our students to have a voice, we run a student council system. Each year group has a year council meeting each half term. Elected representatives from each form attended the meeting, which is chaired by a member of the Sixth form Senior Committee. The students decide the agenda for their year group and have the chance to discuss any issues raised by members for their form.
Each year council also elects two of its members to attend the Senate, a whole school forum chaired by the Head Boy and Head Girl. This gives the opportunity for issues raised by more than one year council to be discussed. After each Senate meeting, the Head Boy and Head Girl attend a Senior Leadership Team meeting to feedback the views of the students and discuss any action needed.
