Catering

Heckmondwike Grammar School has 4 catering outlets; the main dining room (MDR), the senior common room (SCR), the Jo Cox Centre (JCC) and a new for summer 2026 catering pod. Generally the main dining room is for Years 7-10 and main school breakfast service, the SCR is for Year 11 and the JCC for the Sixth Form.  There is a breakfast, break and lunch service.  Breakfast is only available in the main dining room and JCC, break in the MDR and SCR and lunch in all venues. We are delighted to add the new catering pod as an option for students to use at lunchtimes.  This will be available to all students and provides a grab & go lunch option with ice creams.  At times year groups may change outlets, or outlets may close subject to service, staffing and events in school.

Access to the main dining room and catering pod is on a year group and house rotation.

All catering payments for Years 7-11 are via ParentPay, please contact [email protected] if you need any assistance with ParentPay.  As well as ParentPay the Sixth Form have the additional option of credit card payment in the JCC only.

There are two meal deal options, both priced at £3.00 The pink meal deal contains 2 items and the blue meal deal contains 3 items.  Meal deal menu items are marked accordingly as to which meal deal they are part of.

Any changes will be displayed in school. Special gluten free food is available as per the menu below but must be ordered beforehand.  Please contact the Catering Manager for how to arrange this.
