Courses
Our sixth-form curriculum is deliberately shaped around the needs, aspirations, and strengths of our students, rather than following a fixed or one-size-fits-all subject menu.
As an academic Sixth form, we offer a wide range of carefully chosen A-level subjects that have been carefully selected to meet the needs of our students. This allows us to provide high-quality, specialist teaching and a rigorous academic experience that prepares learners exceptionally well for university and other competitive next steps.
To ensure breadth alongside depth, students enrich their A-level studies through our Pathway Programme and the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). These elements give students exposure to a wide range of experiences, skills, and perspectives beyond their chosen subjects, including independent research, critical thinking, leadership, employability, and engagement with the wider world.
Together, this carefully designed approach ensures that students benefit from academic specialism without narrowness, combining strong subject knowledge with the broader skills and experiences they need to succeed in higher education and adult life.
Each A-level is taught over two years, with external examinations taking place at the end of Year 13. Most students will opt for 3 subjects, and may also choose to add an elective subject such as the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) an A-level in languages, or a fourth A-level subject.
