Jo Cox Sixth Form Study Centre
Learn, study and socialise in a purpose-built space which offers independence within a nurturing environment for all Sixth Form students.
We believe that Sixth Form students should have their own dedicated space, and to achieve that, the Jo Cox Sixth Form Centre was opened in 2019 following an impressive £1.5 million redevelopment. We are proud to say that it was named in honour of our former student and head girl Jo Cox.
Situated in an historic church hall, the Jo Cox Centre has been fully renovated and refurnished with a modern design. WiFi is available throughout, and the building offers you the luxury of your own social and study space away from the main school building.
The ground floor provides a bright, spacious area with ample casual seating that gives you an area to socialise. There you’ll also find the popular Sixth Form cafeteria, which offers freshly-prepared food and caters for all dietary requirements. The head chef is keen to involve students in the menu options available, and regularly liaises with students to learn about their requirements.
The first floor, which has kept some of the original features, is a more formal study-focused area. In your private study periods, this is the perfect place to work and learn quietly and without distraction.
