Extra-curricular Music at HGS

We have a strong tradition of music and performance at HGS, and we encourage students to appreciate the vast array of musical styles they hear both in and out of school. There are several concerts each year, both inside school and in the wider community.

The Music and Drama departments regularly join together on our whole school productions. In recent years, these have included Shrek, The Addams Family, Grease and We Will Rock You.

Peripatetic Music Lessons

We have a strong team of peripatetic instrumental music teachers who visit HGS. Students can choose to have lessons on a wide range of instruments or voice. There are also many musical ensembles, offering opportunities for students of all abilities.
