Parent Careers Information
We are proud to have been awarded the national Quality in Careers Standard, recognising our commitment to delivering high-quality, impartial information, advice and guidance for all students.
The school’s Careers Advisers play an integral role in delivering the careers education programme and in providing impartial, high-quality careers guidance to support students in making informed decisions about their future pathways.
Our in-house careers provision is enhanced by strong links with a wide range of external partners, including employers, apprenticeship and training providers, and representatives from further and higher education. This ensures students gain valuable insight into the full range of opportunities available beyond school.
All Year 11 and Year 12 students receive a dedicated careers guidance interview, while students in any year can access support through the careers drop-in sessions, held Monday to Thursday at lunchtime (12.45pm–1.15pm), or by booking an appointment.
Parents are welcome to attend careers appointments by prior arrangement, or can contact the Careers department by telephone or e-mail [email protected]
Free independent advice is also available from the National Careers Service helpline available daily from 8am to 10pm 0800 100 900.
Our Careers Library provides access to a wide range of up-to-date resources, including university prospectuses, information on a broad spectrum of career pathways, further and higher education courses, apprenticeships, and literature from professional bodies.
In addition, we subscribe to a range of careers software platforms, enabling students to explore career ideas, research pathways, and access reliable, impartial information to support informed decision-making about their future.
